Hey!
Thanks for checking out my website. I hope you’ve found the free ebook and the podcast helpful; I know I’ve learned a lot from those incredible authors, and I’m quite proud of the ebook.
Anyway, here’s where you get to know a little bit about me. I’m proud Utahn, a happy wife, a loved mother of two littles, a chocolate addict, amateur musician, university student, American, and writer. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I love reading my Bible and The Book of Mormon. My favorite bible story is of when Jesus healed the man who was born blind. My faith plays a large role in why I started The Wax Quill Podcast because I believe that if there is anything virtuous, lovely, of good report, or praiseworthy, that God wants me to seek after it.
With that said, I know that Jesus Christ, our Savior himself, used stories to teach his disciples. I believe that there is a deep power in stories, and that we, as children of God, have an intimate connection to them. Books are powerful things, both for good and for evil. With the world in the mess it is, I believe that writing inspiring, truth-filled stories is one of the best things a creative person can do.
I’ve talked to many people who tell me about stories that they want to write, but few of them have managed to write them out. This is why I wrote my free ebook (upper right corner of this page), provide access to relevant interviews with published authors and inspired writers, and even create the mighty Book Bootcamp, so hesitant writers like you can get the encouragement and support that you’re lacking. I’ve been there and I want to help you get past it so I can read your awesome book.
I am the youngest of 7 children, and I have two awesome parents to thank for bringing me up with religion and conservative values. Yes, that’s right, I’m a conservative. I’m very concerned with the state my country is in. I’m a big fan of the second amendment.
Being a mother is amazing. I never wanted kids, not before marriage and not after. The only reason why we decided to start is because my religion is centered around families. I considered it a heavy responsibility to become a mother, and I took it on grudgingly. However, my biggest regret now is waiting as long as I did to have kids. They’re so fun, and squishy, and cute! They have inspired most of my stories, and I have more determination than ever to create my books so my kids can enjoy them as they grow.
Well, that’s a bit about me. If you found this inspiring, follow me on Instagram, Rumble, and YouTube and sign up for Book Bootcamp! I lead the classes myself, and I’d love to meet you and hear about your book.
See you soon!
